Does The College Football Playoff Have a Flaw in their system?

As we get closer to the end of the college football season and rankings and seedings continue to shuffle, college football fans are starting to understand why Notre Dame wasn't overly concerned with not being able to achieve a top 4 spot and a bye in the College Football Playoff. Most average college football fans thought this was justice being served for Notre Dame refusing to join a conference full time. Notre Dame saw it as an opportunity to make a deep run in the college football playoff every year. They would just have to take care of business in the regular season and hopefully catch some breaks along the way. Looking at the playoff bracket above would you actually want to be seeded 1-4 over being the 5 seed? Teams like Penn State, Ohio State, Oregon, and Indiana ought to be licking their chops at the possibility of getting the 5 seed because more than likely that 5 seed will be a B1G team; and more than likely they will open the CFB Playoff hosting the Big 12 champion or the Mountain West Champion. Then moving on to face either of those conferences in the next round. You can win 2 games against inferior opponents before facing the number 1 team in the country and being 1 game away from the National Title game. Sign me up! Coaches like James Franklin who never win the big game could win 2 in the playoff and maybe keep their job a little longer. Oregon could lose the B1G Championship game and have an easier road to make the National Title game. Rather than having to play the 8 or 9 seed which is likely to be a 2 loss SEC team or Notre Dame if the playoff ended today, Oregon would then play the Big 12 or Mountain West in back to back games. Yes, Boise State played Oregon tough at the beginning of the year, but Oregon has improved as the season has gone on and I am not sure Boise's schedule did them any favors to prepare them to play better teams in the CFB Playoff. It will be interesting to see if next year this changes at all. Maybe the committee decides the rankings equal the seedings. SEC coaches are already clamoring for the conference championship to go away for fear the loser of that game will be left out of the playoff entirely. If that happens there will be some major changes coming to the playoff after just one year.
